Hello all
I've been using Media Coder for over a decade now and have enjoyed using for transcoding videos.
I have gotten into Hi-Res audio and discovered several DVD-Video (NOT DVD-Audio) releases with 24-bit/96khz and have been trying to transcode those tracks to 24-bit/96khz FLAC using Media Coder.
Of course, on the video tab I uncheck "enable video" set the container to "default" and for audio I choose the proper source track, choose FLAC for "format", leave "encoder" and "source" on auto select and have both "Resample" and "Bit Depth" at original.
In the FLAC tab I have the Compression Level at lowest.
However, the resulting FLAC isn't 24-bit/96khz, but 16-bit/96khz, despite choosing "original" for bit depth.
When I choose 24-bit for bit depth with this process, the resulting FLAC is a bit corrupted as Windows and all media players won't show a time for the FLAC or a bit rate (they'll both show 0), and this FLAC won't be playable in all my digital audio devices.
Anyone have any idea on how to get the proper settings to get 24-bit/96khz FLAC?
Do I need a certain encoder and/or source to do this properly?
