error messages

I am trying to convert a ripped DVD (MP4 format) to WMV keep getting error messages. I reviewed all the info for newbies, I am one, and am not sure what to do. When I look at the error codes by using F6 key the big thing is: Too many bufferer pts.

Any suggestions from anyone?

It looks like I have version 4050.

I updated and am still getting the same error messages.
Any other thoughts from anyone?
