Two minor bugs in pre-10

Post by vulpecula » Tue Jul 11, 2006 2:27 pm

1) Menu Item "About/Check for Update" direct me to a Sun Java web site.

2) Inside the Disc Player plugin, inside the Video Disc Type scroll box, there is a spelling mistake. There are 3 choices for SVCD, whereas one of them should be VCD (PAL).

What? Are you kidding. Is this caused by your browser setting?

No kidding. I am using Firefox 1.5 as my default browser. Here is how you can/may make recurrences of the bug.

1) Run the Setup Wizard;
2) Answer "No" for the third question when it asks you whether you want to enable the update checking function;
3) Restart MediaCoder;
4) Select meun item "About/Check for Update"

It will redirect you to the following Sun Java website.
http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.3/docs/api/j ... Error.html

If you answer "Yes" for the question, the update checking will work normally.

Although I disable the update checking function, I would only mean telling the software NOT to AUTOMATICALLY check for update. I DO NOT mean it will direct me to a Sun Java Error Page, even when I explicitly tell it to check for update.

Thanks.
