Support For Creative Zen Vision:M

Post by player » Fri Aug 04, 2006 3:05 pm

Since the iPod has support, I think it would be super if support for the Zen Vision:M and Vision is implemented.

I also wish for this support. If I could figure out how to use the app I'm pretty sure I could figure out how to create the plugin.

This is a link to the video format recommendations.

As soon as I figure out how to use the app I will do my best to get a plugin going unless someone does one better.

I'll probably implement this plug-in in next release.
If you can help to write plug-ins, that will best.

I've implemented a pure JavaScript (rendered by XULRunner) extension mechanism, like that of FireFox, which looks like the following.

I'll put out a tutorial, it's easy to make one by your own.

actually the Zen Vision M and Vision I believe the formats are either the same or 95% the same. I would have to check into this to verify.
---Appears all is the same except the screen size.----

where can I get this vision plugin?

Also ps if I could get the application to work for me in the first place I would have definitly figured out how to do the plugins as I read into this and it looked pretty easy. My problem is everytime I try to transcode a file it has yet to work for me.

Oh yeah thanks for doing the plugin you did! If someone doesn't beat me to it I will just pretty it up for the M.

Just release 0.5.1-pre2 with Creative Zen extension (the first and the only extension now) included.

Extension is a bit different from plugin. The former is implemented with script language and the latter implemented with native language (usually a DLL). The extension stuff is in {MediaCoder Folder}/htdocs/extensions
