"On-The-Fly" Download/Convert feature really slow

Post by matthaeus123 » Thu Oct 18, 2007 12:19 pm

Is it me or is the whole "On-The-Fly" Download/Convert feature really slow?

My system monitor is telling me that the file is downloading at 30kb/s, while if I download the same file to the desktop, it downloads at 160kb/s.

Should it be faster? or am I missing something here?

Unlike multipart downloading, transcoding from network only allows single thread.

Unfortunately no.
You must know the meaning of on-the-fly. The stream is not saved on your local disk. So there is no way to do multi-part download.
