Make Mediacoder source non-Windows only.

Post by matthaeus123 » Wed Oct 10, 2007 9:29 am

I downloaded the source, and wanted to compile MediaCoder under Linux. I was not able to, because it is set to Windows only. If Microsoft Visual Studio wasn't used I could more easily compile MediaCoder for Linux.

MediaCoder can't be compiled on Linux. You can run it with Wine on Linux.
When things work together, things work.

I did notice that the covert to iPod extension doesn't work correctly under WINE though. And the console doesn't say that there are any errors.

Actually it could but you'd have to majorly edit the source to use the linux version of mplayer, mencoder and others, even some of the other encoders that have the linux companions, so yes STanley your right and yet your wrong, It would be better to start from scratch
