MediaCoder 0.6.0.3840 & 0xc0150002 error

Post by bugz » Fri Aug 10, 2007 3:01 am

Hello Folks, this may sound like a previous post and i'm sorry for that.
I'm experiencing some problems on launching this version of the program. I keep getting the 0xc0150002 error. With older versions this did not happen. I followed the instructions on this page http://mediacoder.sourceforge.net/dlfull.htm and the instructions in this topic http://mediacoder.sourceforge.net/forum ... php?t=2355 but nothing worked. I'm using Windows XP SP2 and I wanted to use it for encoding Zune video files. Is there any advice you can give to get it working? Thank you in advance.

I will re-package and re-upload 3840.

Same problem here, tried the different solutions, and also the re-package.
System i use is: core2duo 6600, 2Gb mem on a asus board and windows 2003 server SP1 with Administrator rights. Hope to see a solution in the near future.

I have tried to reinstall it again but it just will not work. Same error over and over. If someone finds a solution, please post it. Thank you!

Replay to anyone who hasn't used my modified manifest file:

Download the modified manifest file I posted awhile ago...
REMOVED LINK

Place the file in "\Program Files\MediaCoder".

So fare from what I've read, this hasn't worked. I'm curious to see if this solution works for anyone else.

Edit: Testing MediaCoder on Bare installation of Microsoft Windows XP (SP2) via Virtual Machine. As of right now, I'm receiving the same error message even with the modified manifest file I created awhile ago (worked before with older builds of MediaCoder). I will be evaluating my virtual machine, to find out what is causing the error message to appear in MediaCoder. Might take awhile to figure out.

After working about 5 1/2 on bare installation (no Windows Update) of Windows XP (SP2) via Virtual Machine, none of the modification I made with the manifest file worked. I'm going crazy working on this. The only solution that worked (and I know I've mentioned this so many time) is by downloading....

Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 SP1 Redistributable Package (x86)
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/deta ... laylang=en

I'm going to take a break on this problem for now and try it another day.

Same here. Athlon X64 Barthon 3500+. Prior to 42 worked flawlessly.

Take your time to solve the problem, nobody wants a stressed out developer ;-)
