AVCHD (1080i) m2ts support
AVCHD (1080i) m2ts support
I would really appreciate support of AVCHD (1080i) format that is on output of many HD camcorders as .m2ts. It should be some version of MPEG-4.
add m2ts support
Hello Stanley, Please please add support for adding the AVCHD m2ts files from Sony HD Camcorders directly in MediaCoder so that we can convert them to x264 MP4. Presently there is a big quality loss and time loss involved in converting them first to mpg i.e. m2ts -> mpg -> mp4 and it is multi-step process.
AVCHD m2ts is the fast becoming standard in HD Video recording with hard drive cameras and it is the standard video format of Blue Ray DVDs so it will be great if MediaCoder can support m2ts directly (m2ts import) i.e. m2ts -> mp4. We hope MediaCoder can support avchd m2ts soon. Pinnacle, Vegas etc. are already supporting m2ts.

audio video sync problem
I tried that. It transcodes it fine though it does not show any progress status. But the audio is totally out of sync with the video in the converted mp4 file from the m2ts file recorded by Sony SR1. I used MP4 H.264 for Video and Nero Encoder HE-AAC V2 for the audio. With Lame MP3 also, there is the same problem with the audio sync.stanley wrote:Try rename it to .ts?
I can upload a m2s for you if you need to test it. I hope there is solution for this audio video sync problem since m2ts is fast becoming very popular for video recording.
