AVCHD (1080i) m2ts support
m2ts avchd problem
I am still getting the error 13 for a m2ts file in the latest version. It says failed to load JM Decoder. I saw the file is mts in your blog screenshot. When we transfer the mts file on the camera to the hard drive via Sony software, it makes a m2ts file. m2ts does not seem to work yet.

Canon HF10 file
I have a canon HF10. Ican't see and also process the m2ts. I try with the test.m2ts in this forum and work well. Some knows the difference within the canon and sony file?
i have a 6 m file to send but I don't know how to upload.
Best regards
Marcelo

Sorry about the bump on this old thread - I've been struggling trying to get AVCHD support working and discovered kjensen's post in this thread.stanley wrote:Glad to know that there is someone besides me have this working.
Using kjensen's settings I can get it to work as long as the file is relatively small - as soon as its a larger file, it encodes for a few minutes then MediaCoder just crashes (usual "MediaCoder has encountered a problem and needs to close" error).
I'm running 0.6.1.4150 and just wondering if anyone else is having this sort of problem.
edit:
The last thing in the console window (pops up at the same time as the crash) looks like:

Try using this preset file:mcfan459 wrote:can't get it to work with my mts files.
(MC recognises it as a AVCHD file)

This is generated from kjenson's post in this thread. It sort of works for me, but not for long videos.
I wrote a bit about it here - basically I have given up on MediaCoder for now and have switched to using the CoreAVC codec and Avisynth, which works perfectly.
Here is the contents of my prefs.xml located in C:\Program Files\MediaCoder. This is working using XP and version 6.1.4166. I'm transcoding files between 10 and 200 meg. Quite often MediaCoder will crash after the first one so organize your smallest files to be processed first. Then do an "Item - Set Preset File" and then "File - Save Current Settings"
