Build 5342 fails with Nero Encoder [fixed]
As mentioned for build 5340 (viewtopic.php?f=28&t=12404) the conversion from VOB to MP4 fails for 5342. The preset for MP4 is defined in the Encoding Guide and sets audio at LC-AAC via Nero encoder with Auto Source.
The attempt yields "Incorrect parameters for Nero encoder".
When trying a conversion from MKV to MP4 with the same settings, transcoding just hangs up with the entry in the queue panel pulsing. I needed Windows Task Manager to stop it.

Re: Build 5342 fails with Nero Encoder
I tried more fiddling and found that the failure with Nero for VOB to MP4 was due to the choice of Sampling frequency.
Values at or below 24 kHz fail yet 32, 44.1 and 48 kHz work.
Pity, since all previous builds accepted a lower frequency.
As a result, I changed the sampling frequency for MP4 conversions to 32 kHz in the Encoding Guide so that the conversion tests (from a VOB source file) would pass the Test Report.
However, the conversion from MKV to MP4 still fails.
I tried MKV to MP4 with Audio disabled and it failed until the video Source was changed from MEncoder to Auto (gave FFmpeg).
However, with Audio then enabled, it still failed even with Auto Source for both audio and video.
Looks like the new utilities in 5340/42 have mucked things up!

Re: Build 5342 fails with Nero Encoder
I can't reproduce this. This works on my end. Note that HE-AAC only accepts sampling rate >= 32khz.
When things work together, things work.
Re: Build 5342 fails with Nero Encoder
Stanley: have you tried the settings exactly as given for MP4 in the Encoding Guide (viewtopic.php?f=17&t=9643)?

Re: Build 5342 fails with Nero Encoder
I think I know how to reproduce this
1. Download or Create a video file (any video format) with audio at 22k sample rate.
2. Put this video file into Mediacoder and encode the file into H264, LC-ACC at original sample rate
3. Click start
You should get the Nero Encoder error right away. The only solution is to change the sample rate to 32k in the audio tab.

Re: Build 5342 fails with Nero Encoder
A bug related with nero encoder is fixed in 5450.
When things work together, things work.
Re: Build 5342 fails with Nero Encoder
I can confirm, that in 5350 Nero Encoder now delivers 16 kHz to 48 kHz at least.
