Transcoding (convert) speed for x64 vs x32 (x86) versions

Hi, I've been using MC for a long time and I must say it's a great program. However, I have a few questions I'd like to ask the community and devs.

Does x64 edition provide a speed boost compared to x86?

If you use the optimization pack with the 32 bit version, is it faster than the 64 bit version?
