Aspect Ratio flag

Post by monster » Sun May 28, 2006 7:53 am

I have an old video that I got in AVI format and the program that I use to author DVD's will not take AVIs. Therefore I gave a try to using MediaCoder to create an MPG2 that my DVD authoring software will take. However, after succesfully creating the MPG my DVD authoring software gives me an error every time because MediaCoder does not insert the aspect ratio flag, so that the DVD authoring software know how to handle it properly.

How can I insert this flag into the MPG with MediaCoder?

I would appreciate any pointers.

Hi
Yes, you are right there.

Have a look at Settings then Video Codecs and Force the
Aspect Ratio to your needs. If not, then....

Try TMPGEnc for your AVI's. You'll have to use their FREE version or a
30 day trial FULL version.
They are located at: www.pegasys-inc.com

I'll see if a visual setting can be produced on the main screen by asking
Stanley.

with regards
