I noticed on a few tracks I transcoded that the Autogain function didn't seem to work. The track was reported with -10.9db in iTunes, and did sound markedly more muted. Anyone here that want to en/transcode a track from CDA or MP3 to Nero MP4 (AAC) and check if the autogain works?

The auto gain is done by MPlayer's 1-pass normalization filter, whose effect is very limited.
There is a better (but experimental) 2-pass normalization and resampling filter. Check Settings -> Audio Filters -> Shibatch Filters.
