Where are my Subtitles? ;_;

I've wanted to transcode my OGM to AVI, but somehow I can't manage to get the subtitles in there. o_O (It's an OGM with english/japanese language and english subs)

Is there a possibility to get the subtitles into the AVI File? @_@

(Sorry for the bad english, I'm german)

yup, that's what i learned as well. avi does not support subtitles. through some hack, however, it is possible, but the subtitle would be external, meaning it will come as an additional text file containing the subs.

on the other hand, the approach that can be done is to hard-sub. this means the subtitles must be placed as part of the video images, as if they were part of the film. this one, however, would require a full re-encode and thus would take lots of time to accomplish. this can be done through the use of combination of virutaldubmod and vobsub. a search on the details on how to go about this can be accessed through the web.
