No Internet for some days/weeks.

Post by SirAuron » Fri Jul 27, 2007 4:06 am

Well, starting tomorrow I might loose my internet connection because I am changing the internet provider. Actually there shouldn't have been any gap at all but because my old internet provider likes to make trouble I may be internetless for several days or even weeks. I believe it will take about 2 weeks 'til I am able to visit this forum again, so don't worry about my absence. Hope my "holidays" are not inconveniet, see you again whenever my internet connection is re-established.

Hopefully your new internet provider will be better then the one you have currently. Your presents will missed for those times you're gone.

Thanks for the kind replies. I hope my worries will show themselves wrong. If not I will have to read quite a lot of posts when I next visit this site ;)

My new internet provider now declared that until the 14th of august it is impossible to get my dsl. so until then and most likely two to three weeks longer I won't have any internet connection. However, I will sometimes be able to check the forum when I am at my uncles place. Unfortunately he lives in a neighbor town so I can't go to him too often (no car, no money^^).
But when I do I will try my best to visit this forum and answer posts.

Today I had a very pleasant surprise. As promised I got my dsl at the exact time I was told (at about 12 o'clock). It meats my expectations and I am happy everything went well.

Nice to see you back. Just curious, what's your connection speed?

Its now about 13-14 mbit/s down and 1 mbit/s up. Max with my internet provider would be 16 mbit/s down (in fact I paid for it) but it's okay since I live in a very small city where 6 mbit/s was the maximum before.
