Not correct VCD Format?
Hi
I try to coding a MPEG-2 File to a valid MPEG-1 for VCD.
I use the following settings:
On the left:
AUDIO:
Source=MPlayer
Encoder=FFMPEG Audio Codecs
Resample=44100Hz
Gain=0 dB
I try also Lame as Encoder.
VIDEO
Bitrate=1150
Rate Mode=Fixed Bitrate
Format=MPEG-1
CONTAINER
Container Format=MPEG
Select Option and tries in MPEG OPTIONS=MPEG-1 and PAL VCD
PICTURE
Resize Video=352x288
Frame Rate=25.000
On the right:
FFMPEG
Audio Format=MPEG Layer 2
Bitrate=224
I also try MPEG Layer 3 as Audio Format.
After transcoding I try to burn a VCD CD with Nero 5, but Nero tells an error message that the data format is not correct for VCD.
Why?
Did I forget something? I think my settings are all the correct one for VCD format...

Not correct VCD Format?
Hi.
I think there is a bug in mediaCoder relating to this.
I'll place a BUG Report to Stanley.

Yes, true enough. It's not for MPEG and I realised that a bit to late.rbender wrote:Hi
I think it also.
Your previous reply with xvid produces a lot more errors in Nero
You're quick reading this.
I thought I would stop it in time before you saw it.
Well, let's hope it gets sorted quickly.
All the best

While you wait. Try VCDEasy for your VCD's. It will handle this format
correctly and produces perfect results. Burns as as well and so on.

Really! I am surprised. Things have changed.rbender wrote:Thanks for the tip, but:
The restrictions of the trial version are:
* No files bigger than 200 MB

Try and get a lesser version with a full VCD record facility. He use to do it.
Just do a Web search.
Try it as it is and examine the features.
You'll be delighted like I was. I regestered it. It's cheap at the price.
As far as I know. Nobody does as much on a VCD format.
Oh! by the way, I have no vested interests in VCDEasy, it just a
great program. Just got to let people know.
UPDATE.....Good News!!!
NOW ASPECT RATIO Working in update 1902!!
All the best.
