The converted file without audio

Post by foukin2 » Sun Jun 04, 2006 4:19 pm

I tried to convert a mpg file to a avi file. I set the video encoder is h.264 and the audio encoder is helix(acc). However, the converted file did not have any audio. Then, I tried the other audio encoders. Except lame mp3 encoder, the othter auidio encoders do not work.

AVI container has limited support with audio formats. Only Lame MP3 and FAAC can work with AVI.
If you want to encode to MPEG-4 AVC (H.264 + AAC), I strongly suggest you to use MP4 or Matroska. If you want to encode to AAC, I suggest using Nero encoder or CT encoder. Helix is out of date.
