Turn mp4 into mpeg1

I'm trying to convert a mp4 video file to mpeg1. help please?

you can just use the mpeg maker extension. its hear: extensions -> home players -> mpeg maker

for the kbs, the larger it is affects the size of the video? if i have a smaller amount, will the size be smaller or will that just make the picture quality worse?

what you are talking about is the bitrate. the less bitrate the less filesize the less quality. if you are not converting hd selecting vcd or svcd should suffice.
you might also want to set the resolution to 720x576 or 720x480.
