how to convert only audio format

hello how i can convert the audio format on a video file without change the video format i want to make ac3 to aac or mp3

because my tv player dont support ac3

Select "copy" on video tab.

Same concern. I am trying to change only the audio format by checking "Copy Video" in the Video tab.
During processing I can see the .ac3 file being created in by tmp folder. But at end of conversion, the new container file is not created.

Running: Version 0.8.52 b5920
Input: Contener Mkv, Video V_MPEG4/ISO/AVC, Audio E-AC-3
Trying to generate: Contener MP4Box, Video checked "Coypy Video", Audio AC-3

I know It is so late now but I’m new over here.
If you untick Enable or select Copy in Video bar then mediacoder should encode just audio and you should get cointainer as MP4 with video stream copied and audio stream encoded to desired format.
MP4Box please select as Auto Select, maybe this is messing up your encoding?
I have noticed as FFmpeg is slightly faster then MEncoder but not always can be used.

How eliminate an audio from a dual audio. In my case audio 1. Is a job for mediacoder? I don't how select the right audio to encode. Thanks for the tip.

Simply uncheck the check box on video tab to do audio only encoding.
