Well rmvb Which is real media files too can be transcoded to any format via mediacoder so I guess you can do the same with the rest

Have you ever tried using the free open-source format which is Ogg vorbis/theora I always encode with that format just select in audio:Vorbis and video select Theora and leave container as default

I'm not really sure. You could use VirtualDub to do that and then mediacoder to produce the final product you want. Maybe Stan should add that to the next release
