Re: [x64 0.8.13.5260] Trim doesn't work, please help

You'll want to use something like Avidemux or virtualdub to trim without re-encodng (obviously still able to only cut at keyframes)

Re: I'm New Pls help

Unless the movie is animation, the result is going to look horrible. If it is a movie, you'll want to do some pre-processing to remove noise and grain first, then encode with x264 , preset veryslow or placebo, 2-pass 1000 kbit for video, leaving about 48 kbit for mono AAC audio, leaving a little und...

A 200k keyint is crazy, with 60 fps material that would mean only one keyframe about every 55 and a half minutes.

Re: CUDA = chunky video?

[thread resurrection] Is a fix for this on the way? :) I'd really like to encode via CUDA. Encoding Preset = Custom, and Bitstream Profile = Baseline. At least use Main or High profile instead of Baseline. Dynamic GOP, Cabac and most importantly deblocking enabled ? IDR period ? 15 is really the mi...

Re: New feature: Encode to percentage

So, essentially constant quantizer encoding with most formats/encoders, and constant quantizer or preferably constant rate factor with x264 ?
Encoding with x264 and tuning for SSIM or PSNR would require way too many encodes and produce a visually inferior result than without them.

Re: How to use more than one core/thread?

It's encoding into xvid format. ffmpeg-xvid with xvid fourcc, ffmpeg-xvid with divx fourcc , or ffmpeg-mpeg4 with xvid fourcc ? Why not use xvidcore as the encoder with identical settings ? Multithreaded xvid encoding with ffmpeg has been known to have some issues in the past . How can I check the ...

Re: How to use more than one core/thread?

Why are you using ffmpeg - what format are you encoding into; MPEG2, MPEG4 ASP or AVC (H.264), H.263 ?

What's the actual ffmpeg command-line used ;
does it include '-threads 0' , or some other number that is not 1 ?
