When doing XviD two-pass encoding:
Command-line for first pass says pass=1
Command-line for second pass also says pass=1. It should say pass=2.
Please fix.

Rip it
You can use DVDShrink to do a partial backup by ripping it first:
A tutorial on how to use it is here: here on the doom9.org website.
Itspete posted a list of other useful tools that provide other ways to facilitate this task.

Change bit rate
Hi. This is a very simple question. I just need to change an MP3 file to a lower bit rate for space reasons on my PSP. I know the option is hidden in there I just can't find it. I was hoping to make it like 32kbs or something. I just want to select the files and then put in the settings (preferably ...

Selective Tag Transferring
When encoding audio/video, I think it might be useful if the user could choose what tag(s) they want to transfer and what tags they want to leave out. (e.x. Transfer the track name and not transfer the artist name, etc)

Hey stanley, I just saw your other post about WMA tags. Anyways, I found more information regarding this: http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/dnwmt/html/WM_Metadata_Usage.asp It seems that the Windows Media Format SDK could read many if not all of the tags off WMA files....

Re: Not reading WM tags
Same problem here...
All the tags are visible in the large text box but all the actual fields are empty. The WMA tags are therefore not transferred when converted into another format.
Stanley, would you please fix this in the next release?
Many Thanks!

First startup is confusing
When you start mediacoder the first time, it doesn't actually start. Instead, it opens a webpage with the "start mediacoder" button in it and waits for the user to click on that button. The problem is, the page can open in a background tab in firefox on some configurations or the user can just ignor...
