Okay. Thank you.

Is the revision number problem going to be added to your list of bugs?

x264 revision number

For many builds already, I've always wondered why your version of x264 identifies itself as "x264 core:56 svn-╥╤╡╝│÷" or something like that. Is this fixable? The revision number is of some value to me because I follow x264's changelog. Also, is it safe to replace your x264.exe with a copy from http...

MPUI/MPlayer bug in rev 3940

I was setting up a new system (formatted C:\) when I ran into the problem of playing videos with MPUI. The following quote is the MPlayer output from MPUI. "C:\Program Files\MediaCoder 0.6.0.3940\codecs\mplayer.exe" -slave -identify -wid 722908 -colorkey 0x101010 -nokeepaspect -framedrop -autosync 1...

...fixed_quant=0...

The fixed_quant option must be >= 1.000000: 0
Check your xvid encoding options, make sure that the fixed_quant is greater than or equal to one.

I wouldn't recommend putting H.264 video streams in AVI. AVI's support for H.264 is a hack which has a problem with some types of H.264. I think the problem was related with how H.264 does b-frames. I thought that VirtualDubMod had the ability to work with MKV and OGM? That would mean you could work...

Normally there are some hard to notice differences between first pass and second pass x264. Between the second and third pass, usually the only way to know the difference is by seeing the PSNR/SSIM value after the video has been trancoded. You'll have to use the Console window to see those readings ...

On Win2k, build 3288 loads fine. Using .NET 1.1. stanley, your mencoder from SVN, did it used the latest x264 build? I couldn't get the revision number used in its AVI output. Also, your x264.exe is rather dated - current revision is 622. The nightly mencoder build from http://ffdshow.faireal.net/mi...

What was the error message given? The console window, which can be turned on via "Transcode" > "Toggle Console Window", might be able to provide details on the error.

Display more posts per page

Displaying 7 posts per page is a bit too little. Could you up that to a more reasonable number like 15 or 25 posts per page? On high speed high latency networks, having too many pages is downright painful. Some of us would very much love to have a single large page.

If it is only for playback, I would recommend using VLC 0.8.6a (current version) or MPC with ffdshow. Iianm, MPlayer hasn't updated its x264 codec in a while.
