Any progress on the wmv fixes?

converting to wmv still incorrectly names the file when converting from .vob, and it is not indexed, so there is no way to fastforward/rewind.

the title and actor metadata is always the same.

You can try one of the extentions, such as mpeg maker, creative zen vision, or any other extension that converts to mpeg. ( which mpeg are you referring to? ) or, you can follow these steps. 1) File ...

but on the 3" screen I haven't noticed a difference, and I care about my quality. I suppose I could use WMV9 and lower bitrate ( like 500 ) and produce the same effect, but I just like using exactly 800kbps ( the highest zune allows without conversion )

wmv9 works as well, but takes longer.

Best Zune Settings so far...

Video: WMV7 ( CBR ) Video Bitrate: 672 kbps Audio: WMA 9.2 Audio Bitrate: 128 kbps, 44 khz, stereo (A/V) CBR *Audio Gain: 20db ( my .vobs had bee...

At this point, I can rip my DVDs to WMV. However I'm having a different problem then yours. Instead of receiving code 14 error message, my video file frame rate is speeding up, the audio doesn't play and the meta tag is displaying Chinese text. At this point I can't replicate the problem. Might hav...

VBR vs CBR? Also a optimal settings question?

I was wondering if the fact that I am using CBR has to do with why my wmv files aren't indexed when they are converted? I was reading up, and CBR is sometimes used for streaming, which wouldn't require indexing, so if I were to use VBR would it be indexed? Also, which one is better for video/audio q...
