Yes, but it isn't recognized by my Nokia phone. Reporting the file as corrupt. I need to use a format that works both in iTunes and on the Nokia phone. Formally it supports m4a, but the particular way that CT creates its MP4 container that makes it incompatible with the nokia... Because if I encode ...

Nero AAC - autogain working?

I noticed on a few tracks I transcoded that the Autogain function didn't seem to work. The track was reported with -10.9db in iTunes, and did sound markedly more muted. Anyone here that want to en/transcode a track from CDA or MP3 to Nero MP4 (AAC) and check if the autogain works?

Nero AAC is rather good I believe. FAAC is pretty bad quality wise, IMO. So try the Nero. CT seems to be good quality, but I get M4A problems. Right now I prefer Nero AAC because it encodes to a M4A container format that my Nokia phone recognizes. I cannot configure CT AAC+ codec to work with the no...

I had this happen, too, automatically shutting down the computer right after an encoding job had failed due to me pushin Stop. I have not enabled this function in the settings.

Sounds to me like you should uninstall MediaCoder and make sure to delete the folder it was installed in. having done that, install a fresh full download, scrap the old builds and go for the latest full 20 mb one.

I installed the package you linked too as well. I get the error as well. I have tried running at default settings. I notice that the overview box list no bitrate or other information, which could indicate that MediaCoder cannot find the Helix codec. I installed it to the default patch. Ive tried to ...

Yes, I have experimented with a few encoders. So far the Nero AAC works best. Thanks. Alas it does not support ACC+ features like Parametric stereo, but frankly that doesn't matter as much as being able to use the M4A format.

M4A container problems with Nokia

When encoding music for AAC+ format, using MP4 container box, it cannot be used with my Nokia phone. The M4A files are reported as corrupt. But the very same files, transcoded using iTunes, works flawlessly. I checked out the headers of the converted files, and they do differ a bit In the CT AAC+ en...
