Transcoding ACC to AC3.

Post by homerc » Sat Jan 01, 2011 6:25 am

Hi everyone.

Lately i have been working on creating AVCHD dvds which are playable on PS3.
I have this raw mkv video with x.264 video and AAC audio. Since PS3 doesn't support AAC i had to transcode it to AC-3.
Here's the problem, when i used mediacoder to transcode, the audio part of the video doesn't work. (*Weird noise comes out in stead of what it's meant to be)

My settings are as follow:
Encoder: FFmpeg (auto select)
Format: AC-3
Source: Mplayer
Resample: Original
Birate: 128k

The raw audio properties are as follow:
AAC
128kbps
Sample rate 48000Hz
Channel 2

I have also attached the audio split of this video. (using mkvtoolnix)

Would anyone mind offering a little help here please? >_<

Thanks

I am using the latest full version.

The thing is this is the first version of mediacoder i have used so far so i won't be sure which previous version to be tried ^^"

BTW i am using x64 mediacoder as my computers runs on x64 windows 7.
