The version of CUDA h264 has expired

Post by Coder83 » Mon Aug 02, 2010 12:02 am

Hi!

I'm using MediaCoder 0.7.5.4710. When i try to start cuda encoding i get the
error (14): The version of CUDA h264 has expired please request for an update.

I already tried to update my video card drivers but error still remains.
What am i doing wrong

I'm pretty sure that management will need to update their CUDA drivers supplied with MediaCoder. If so, this is something we will have to wait on (yes, I'm getting the same message for 2 days now). It may be possible to "fool" the driver date checking by setting back your system clock to before 8-1-2010, but not sure as I haven't tried it. I suppose I can and I'll post back.

Well, setting system date back a month allowed CUDA to run without any error message. So, I suppose this will work... At least for now. My hopes of course would be that a new CUDA driver/driver update will soon be available so as to not have to monkey around with my system date. I tend to be a bit forgetful, and I'd not like to leave my system running for normal operations with the wrong date.
