You can upload it at a free filehoster such as megaupload or rapidshare.
MediaCoder settings:

x264 (backend/source: mencoder, fps: 23,976, Fabio Sonatti's settings) + nero aac 64 in matroska

Sorry about the bump on this old thread - I've been struggling trying to get AVCHD support working and discovered kjensen's post in this thread.

Using kjensen's settings I can get it to work as long as the file is relatively small - as soon as its a larger file, it encodes for a few minutes then MediaCoder just crashes (usual "MediaCoder has encountered a problem and needs to close" error).

I'm running 0.6.1.4150 and just wondering if anyone else is having this sort of problem.

edit:

The last thing in the console window (pops up at the same time as the crash) looks like:

mb_qp_delta is out of range

Try using this preset file:

http://trog.qgl.org/download.php/hf10-mediacoder.xml

This is generated from kjenson's post in this thread. It sort of works for me, but not for long videos.

I wrote a bit about it here - basically I have given up on MediaCoder for now and have switched to using the CoreAVC codec and Avisynth, which works perfectly.

Here is the contents of my prefs.xml located in C:\Program Files\MediaCoder. This is working using XP and version 6.1.4166. I'm transcoding files between 10 and 200 meg. Quite often MediaCoder will crash after the first one so organize your smallest files to be processed first. Then do an "Item - Set Preset File" and then "File - Save Current Settings"

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
- <MediaCoderPrefs>
<node key="overall.ui.mode" value="Advanced" />
<node key="overall.ui.expertView" value="Video Command" />
<node key="overall.ui.optionTab" value="1" />
<node key="overall.ui.param" value="933,932,3,1" />
<node key="overall.ui.noWelcome" value="4166" />
<node key="overall.task.destdir" value="G:\2008_08_10_video\Converted\" />
<node key="overall.demux.enabled" value="true" />
<node key="overall.demux.audio" value="false" />
<node key="overall.audio.encoder" value="FFmpeg" />
<node key="overall.video.mode" value="Quality-based" />
<node key="overall.video.quality" value="75" />
<node key="overall.video.format" value="MPEG4" />
<node key="overall.video.autoSource" value="false" />
<node key="overall.video.source" value="JM Decoder" />
<node key="overall.video.autoEncoder" value="false" />
<node key="overall.container.external" value="Disabled" />
<node key="overall.preview.render" value="false" />
<node key="audioenc.ffmpeg.codec" value="MP3" />
<node key="videofilter.scale.enabled" value="true" />
<node key="videofilter.scale.width" value="1280" />
<node key="videofilter.scale.height" value="720" />
<node key="videofilter.frame.enabled" value="false" />
</MediaCoderPrefs>
