transfer .koz files to mp3 or wma

I'm trying to pull the .koz files off of my motorola ic902 from Sprint and change them to mp3 or wma files so that I can make a CD out of them that will play in a CD player. I have changed the format to wma and mov files but for some reason, when I playback the file on my computer I have a lot of audio problems (i.e. lots of strange bleep and scratching noises, play speed seems to change, etc.) Is there anything I can do to get a clean wma or mp3 file out of a koz file?
