m2ts

I tried a m2ts -> mp4. It does accept a m2ts file. The problem is the audio and video are not in sync at all. The audio is recorded in 5.1ch for m2ts in Sony AVCHD camera like SR1.

I too would love to see AVCHD support for converting the files from my Canon HG10 into something Adobe Premiere understands.

If you need a sample file, let me know and I'll throw one online where you can get it.

Try rename it to .ts?

audio video sync problem

stanley wrote:Try rename it to .ts?

I tried that. It transcodes it fine though it does not show any progress status. But the audio is totally out of sync with the video in the converted mp4 file from the m2ts file recorded by Sony SR1. I used MP4 H.264 for Video and Nero Encoder HE-AAC V2 for the audio. With Lame MP3 also, there is the same problem with the audio sync.

I can upload a m2s for you if you need to test it. I hope there is solution for this audio video sync problem since m2ts is fast becoming very popular for video recording.

Try setting "Video Source" to "FFmpeg" (untick "Auto Select").

encoder thread blocked

"The encoder thread seems to be blocked" error comes up while transcoding when I select ffmpeg as video source with untick. I also tried changing Audio source to ffmpeg. It gives the same error. Stanley, please fix this m2ts problem as it will help a lot of video enthusiasts out there with the new avchd cameras.
