Not reading WM tags
Not reading WM tags
Mediacoder 0.5.1-r1
Unable to read any WMA tags. WMA metadata is seen in the file details (F8), but fields are not filled out above.
Screenshot:
Other tags are read OK in Mediacoder (flac, ape, mp3)
WM Tags are read fine in other apps (like Winamp 5.2x, importing into Itunes 7, etc)
Thanks for working on Media Coder!!

Re: Not reading WM tags
Same problem here...
All the tags are visible in the large text box but all the actual fields are empty. The WMA tags are therefore not transferred when converted into another format.
Stanley, would you please fix this in the next release?
Many Thanks!

Hey stanley,
I just saw your other post about WMA tags.
Anyways, I found more information regarding this:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/defau ... _Usage.asp
It seems that the Windows Media Format SDK could read many if not all of the tags off WMA files.
Though I am not sure, I believe a file named "WMFSDKWrapper.dll" is used to read these tags.
I hope this is some help.
If not, I also found a lot of things in the SDK that is of interest:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/windowsmedia/ ... fault.aspx
WMFSDK11 :: C:\WMSDK\WMFSDK11 :: wmformat.chm
Programming Guide :: Working with Metadata
The help file has a lot of documentation on the functions used to retrieve metadata from WMF files.
