Possible bug (AR) in Video Disc Player (build 4582)

Post by meRobs » Sat Jan 09, 2010 7:18 pm

With build 4582, the use of the Aspect Ratio settings on the Video Disc Player window (from Features > UI Plugins) doesn't appear to work for me. At least, it didn't do what I thought it should.

With a VOB in 4:3 PAL, I chose the defaults for 'Video Disc Player', after reverting settings to their defaults, and chose Aspect Ratio = 16:9 on this window. I assumed this meant that the VOB would be in an MPG file at DAR = 16:9. But, no -- it was still 4:3!

However, when setting Set DAR = 16:9 on the Picture tab, while Video Disc Player was still open, or making the changes via the Settings button on this window, and then hitting Start on this window all was well. I even used Crop to Fit with 16:9 and it worked.

Have I mis-understood the function for AR on this UI Plugins window??
