MediaCoder -- Picky!

Post by gladel » Tue Oct 28, 2008 3:37 am

Hi. It seems that MediaCoder is picky on which computers to work with. I installed it on my Centrino notebook and it works smooth as silk. However, I installed it to a Dell Optiplex 210L and transcoding is messed up, especially if I used H.264 as the format and MP4 as the container -- it creates an XML file, a TXT file, and the transcoded file and when I play it on WMP, 'MP4: no supported tracks found.'

That gives?? Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

What version of Firefox are you using on each computer?
Finally, thank you for replying. :D

Okay, so the notebook computer where MediaCoder is working properly is a WinXP Pro SP3 with no Firefox installed. The desktop PC where it does not transcode properly is also a WinXP Pro SP3 with Firefox 3.03 installed.

When things work together, things work.
