Not encoding...

Post by Sudds » Sun Jul 09, 2006 9:32 am

The complete VOB file, its encoding just half of the film with audio out of sync even when using original setting for framerate or 25.000fps, this has happened in the past two releases.
Vob file encodes grand with any other app i,ve used.

Has crashed my PC also.

Upon selecting a VOB file which is 4.5gigs in size, under input file size in Media coder its 546MB.

Looks like it has trouble with files over 2GB.

See here: http://mediacoder.sourceforge.net/forum ... .php?t=331

Hopefully it is something that can get fixed or a workaround in place.

Oh yeah... i see, i do agree with what they are saying about Mediacoder being able to handle at least 6gigs of a single VOB file.
Still an excellent app and looking forward to the next release.

Just a thought but if mediacoder was compatible with .AVS files (Avi Synth Script) you can use DG index to create a D2V and WAV file, and use .AVS to encode it would get round the 2gig only conumdrum.
