encorporate a calculator like tmpgenc xpress

Post by Addijhaq » Sat Jun 24, 2006 11:47 am

tmpgenc xpress, i'm able to take a bunch of my files... and have them all encoded with the same calculated bitrate all fit onto one single layer dvd5 without me having to figure out everything.... thus far my encoding takes a 3 or 4 step process including when i use mediacoder.. it goes as such...

taking the files, mkv mostly with h.264 or x.264, and encoding them to avi with the avi(xvid, lame)

then taking my avi files, loading them into tmpgenc xpress and having them encoded to mpgs which output to fit snuggley onto one 4.7 disc.. and then i take them and have them sent to a dvd author program tmpgenc dvd author.

and then burn the dvd..

if i can cut out that effing middle step, i'd love it. it'd save me a days worth of encoding.

You specify your desired stream size and MediaCoder will calculate a bitrate. But currently this function only take video stream into account.
