Main screen GUI for MediaCoder disappears

Sometimes the main screen for MediaCoder just vanishes and fails to show in the Windows Task Manager. This happened several times on a new installation of MediaCoder 0.8.55 on Windows 10, when accessing the Settings Options. The Settings Options Screen is visible, but seems to lack a "Back" button to get back to the main screen. Trying to restart MediaCoder fails because a popup window says multiple instances are not allowed in the free version.
