Hi
Since the last 5-6 releases (so quite some time) I get floating point errors (and others) in the encoding logfile during the video pass. To stop the failing transcoding process i have to kill MediaCoder in the taskmanager.
Mkv to mp4 works ok every time.
The problems with avi's make MediaCoder a lot less usable and I have to resort to other utilities to get the job done.

Re: Problems transcoding avi to mp4
Hi
I would not mind some response as the issue is still present in the latest update and still renders MediaCoder utterly useless for me!
This is what I try to encode. Even the playback video is distorted (but the windows media player plays it correctly).
I saw some logging entries regarding vfm=xvid codec
Requested video codec family [xvid] (vfm=xvid) not available.
Even though I have xvid installed!

Re: Problems transcoding avi to mp4
As we seemingly have to solve our issues by our own ,
I managed to get rid of the float errors by replacing MPlayer as demuxer by Mencoder.
No idea yet if it results in a output file as encoding is still running.
