x264 problem

Hi there,
as soon as try to encode xvid avi files to x264 I get the attached video result. I tried 5685 version along with older 4799 version.
I set 1000 kbps for constant and average bitrates but results are the same. On top of it, i tried to encode same xvid file with latest avidemux and still get the same video result. All x264 profiles are default, I only set bitrate number....
Can anyone help me with this? Regards,
