Hello,

There is a bug with high10 profile. When using this profile, not all parameters get used (you can see it in console window and in advanced view).

for exemple, the b-frames maximum number is not used, thus using default value, the partition type isn't passed (like partitions all 8x8dct), the --direct parameters isn't passed, the --mixed-refs isn't, the --trellis 1 and --weightb isn't.

This does result in difference of quality and compression when using non default value, specially in anime and animation movie. I run once with media coder missing settings and once by hand with all the missing param and I got about 1gb space saving. Out of 200 mkv, it does count!

This bug is there from the first version of high10 compatibility to today, 0.8.29.5600

Which preset did you choose? Did you try custom preset?

I dunno if I can add to this, but when I encode my videos with High10, its also ignoring the B-frames/ref frames count and is instead going with whatever encoding profile I use

If I encode with say fast, its 3, slow its 8, very slow/placebo its 16 ref and bframes
