Build 5588 x64: MediaCoder does not start

Hello

The problem is as follows:

As I run MediaCoder 64 bit version (Win7 OS) the splash screen comes up. The Splash Screen remains visible for few seconds and then the Splash Screen vanishes. Nothing happens next. I have checked the Task Manager that "mediacoder.exe" is still running, but the main program interface never comes up. I have seen the same problem for previous version of MediaCoder and so updated it thinking that the update might resolve the issue. but it was all in vein. I can run multiple instances of the program, but the same thing happens. I have to end the task manually from Task Manager window.

I have installed MediaCoder in the default location (C Drive) as well as Custom location (where I generally install my programs which is another partition).
I have checked and MS VC++ 2008 as well as 2010 are installed.
My OS is regularly updated.

Please resolve this issue.

I also tried that, but that makes the splash screen disappear instantly, but nothing else happens later.

I did the same a number of times. I uninstalled, restarted the machine and tried to install it again.

Is there no solution to this problem?

According to the link you posted, I did the following:
Went to mediaCoder installation folder.
Right Clicked on the "mediacoder.exe" file and chose "Run as Administrator".
Chose "Yes" in UAC prompt.

Result: Same...the splash screen and then nothing. Though under task manager> Process, I can see that "mediacoder.exe" is running

Please note that I also tried to run mediaCoder disabling my Firewall (Comodo), but that also did not solve the problem.

At far right of the Windows taskbar, click on "Show hidden icons".
This may reveal MediaCoder.

In Windows 7 I could not find any option like "Show Hidden Icons" in the System Tray. Still, after running media coder (with Admin privileges), I enabled "Show All icons" in the System Tray. Unfortunately, there was no MediaCoder icon displayed.
