Thanks that the videos in effects are working again. But still the files which have PCM or AMR audio does not show in the effects. The effects screen loads but the video does not play.. Hope this is also sorted out.

In my previous post, I reported that PCM was present in two of my AVI files, and the Effects worked.

I confirm once again that for the combination of filters I mentioned in thus post here , still holds , it plainly opens the Effects box , and the video does not play. I wonder if meRobs created the file combo out of Mediacoder itself?

I tried transcoding this file with the following parameters. Bitrate 200kbps , XVid, Encoder -auto, Source-Mencoder , Container AVI, Audio MP3 . I get the error 15 for all the files which have PCM or AMR audio.

If the source is kept at auto , it greys and picks Avisynth , and it goes into a transcoding loop , which I have reported separately in another post.

Thanks.

As I mentioned above, I used the settings for Xvid/Mp3/AVI as defined in the Encoding Guide and the conversions worked.
I suggest that instead of trying to work with settings that don't work that you try those in this guide.
Just a thought.
Then, modify things a little until you are happy with the outcome.
