Bld 5280: fails to change video frame rate [FIXED]

Post by meRobs » Mon Sep 17, 2012 11:23 am

I converted a VOB in NTSC (720x480 and 29.97 fps) to PAL (720x576 and 25 fps) for both MKV and WMV.
Both gave the correct resolutions but failed to change the frame rate -- was still at 29.97.

I checked build 5230, which I keep as my working version, and 5230 gives the correct frame rate.
Whereas, 5280 passed all the routine tests in the Test Report, as did 5230-36, it is therefore not as good as 5230.

Got the same problem,

and it doesn't matter if i set "disable" "normal" or "full range" at "Effects" Tab.

Using Win7 x64.

Changing the framerate, 29.97fps to 25fps, results in dropped frames or slowing down the video, and would, I think be pretty useless.

If the video is actually soft telecined, 23.976fps converted to 25fps, that just entails adding duplicate frames.

Correct.
But I do this as a test only (of MediaCoder's functions) even though I have seen no problems so far in the video.
In any case, there may be a need for someone to change the framerate.
