Audiostream detection

Post by thevvs » Mon Aug 01, 2011 9:50 pm

I record many FLV clips, some with and some without Audio and convert them into AVI with MC 5176 (Version uninteresting, cause it persists since I know MC).

The problem:
If MC tries to convert a FLV without Audio, it simply stops there (waiting for the Mencoder or ffmpeg process to finish, which wont - cause the process doesn´t do anything (it uses 0% CPU)) - terminating the process is the only solution - MC gives an Error 19 on the file and converts the next one.

So my asking:
Isn´t it possible for MC to detect if theres no audio (I mean it does, but MC doesn´t use this information) and switch Audio encoding off for this file, like the Checkbox does?

Addendum:
If I have (no audio) MP4 files to encode, the Encoder doesn´t Stop. MC creates an Error 19 and tries the next file. Anyhow, no file gets converted. I have to uncheck AUDIO and startover.
