Build 5170: avisynth cannot handle inverse telecine filter

Post by kawamoto76 » Wed Jul 13, 2011 8:51 pm

When trying to transcode hard-telecined broadcast-captured HD TS(1920x1080,24Mbps,mpeg2-aac(stereo),29.97fps interlaced) into .m2ts(H.264/ac3, 23.976 progressive) with MC R7-5170(32bit) with inverse-telecine filter(pullup) on Win-XP32(dual Xeon with HT), in a case that avisynth is used for video source, the IVTC filter does not functioned. Samely it had not been working with avisynth video decoder in R4/R5/R6. This bug can be easily seen when converting billiard game(3-cushion) movie or golf put sceen in a movie, there the ball will be seen duplicated periodically in step play-back if inverse-telecine filter does not work.
When mencoder is used as video source, IVTC filter works well in R4/R5/R6/R7.
When "auto" is selected as video source, mencoder is used in R4, whereas avisynth is used in R5/R6/R7. Then IVTC filter is effective with "auto" video source in R4, whereas not effective in R5/R6/R7.

Settings(when bug happened):
(video)codec/encoder/source = H.264/x264/avisynth or H.264/x264/auto(R5/R6/R7)
H.264 setting: Level4.1-High,ref.frames=1,B-frames=3,Custum
Video filters: inverse-Telecine-filter = "pullup"
(audio)codec/encoder/source=ac3/ffmpeg/auto
