Build 5130 Audio Gain not working; AE 4700 does
I tried to use the Audio Gain feature in build 5130. It failed. So I downloaded the MediaCoder Audio edition to see what it was all about. I see it's build 4700. I tried using the Audio Gain feature and discovered that it worked! Does this mean the Audio Gain works in the regular full version MediaCoder build 4700? Where can I find build 4700?

Answered my own question. Found full build 4700 but Audio Gain did not work.ysbinns wrote:I tried to use the Audio Gain feature in build 5130. It failed. Which audio source did you use?
When things work together, things work.

I tested my file again to get the details. Sorry for the long reply but I wanted to make sure you fully understand my process and steps. Container is MP4.

It appears that working with Audio Only the audio gain function and audio transcoding function works just like the Audio Edition program. It appears that enabling the Video and Audio then nothing works with the audio functions.

Re: Build 5130 Audio Gain not working; AE 4700 does
Update to my previous post. I reran Test #1 but with one change:
Test #3:
Video Tab:
Format: H.264 (NOT Copy Video)
Test #3 Results:
Progress bars, Current Task and Total Tasks, worked. State field was constantly updated showing changing percentage. Statistics window was fully populated. Sound format is changed to LC-AAC 2ch. Volume was greatly increased. Made an MP4 file.
This test gave me the results I expected to get when I used Format: Copy Video. Both the original MKV file and the Test #3 MP4 file indicate they are H.264 when played in VLC. MediaInfo does show that the Video Bitrate was changed from 1315kbps to 1000kbps (the setting that was default for H.264) so the program did transcode the video portion as well as the audio portion.
Maybe a bug in the Copy Video function ???
