Mediacoder / x265 UI Tweaks

Post by BikeHelmet » Tue Oct 14, 2014 2:49 am

Hello,

x265 subme only goes to 7 per this page:
http://x265.readthedocs.org/en/latest/c ... ion--subme

It shows as (~11) in the settings tooltip, which is x264's maximum.

Also, the merange default is 60 in MediaCoder - perhaps that should be adjusted to 57?

I prefer umh to hex, as it's much closer to full quality, and 60 is apparently too high for umh.

rd and rc_lookahead have never had the possible ranges listed on their tooltips... maybe add them? :)

Cheers. Love your software for tweaking/testing encodes. Just updated to the newest version from a much older version, so now I get to play around with x265. :D
