I have a new computer with a Geforce 260M (CUDA) 1GB RAM...
I can't get the GPU encoding to work at all. It is giving me the error: "You need to install the latest GeForce driver in order to use CUDA H.264 encoder" I thought, well, this is a new computer, I think the drivers are up-to-date... I went to nvidia's site anyway and sure enough everything is up-to-date. What can I do to get this to work? is there a hack or work-around? Or is this something that will be fixed in a release? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Have you tried reinstalling the drivers. It's possible the manufacturer installed a modified version. Be sure to get the driver directly from Nvidia's web site.

I will try that, but any other CUDA product I have used is working fine.

Ok, latest driver was re-installed. Took the install directly from Nvidia's site. I rebooted and tried again. I am still getting the exact same message.

Which version of MediaCoder are you using. Make sure you are not using remote desktop.
When things work together, things work.

I am running locally (no remote desktop). It is a Windows 7 Pro 64-bit machine. It has an i7 processor and the GeForce 260M. The version of MediaCoder is "MediaCoder x64 0.7.2 build 4536"
