NVIDIA GTX 1080 + NVENC

Postby rOOmUSh » Mon Jun 13, 2016 5:46 pm

Hi All.

Anything i should know before i invest in the card?
I believe i will gain some performance as advertised compared to GTX 970, but i'm worried more about the possible bugs, support of the card by MediaCoder, any known issues?

Thank you!

If you get it, can you post if you can successfully encode 10bit? NVENC for the card is supposed to support it, and if it does indeed, then I know I will be upgrading my 970.

i have a GTX 1080 and i seen in the change log that media coder has been updated to support NVENC 7.0 but i dont see the option to enable 10bit under the NVENC codec tab or advance section. Maybe it has not been wired up yet.

Totally agree, there is no option to enable 10bit encoding with NVENC. Stanley is there anyway to fix this?
