Cuda worked in windows 8,went back to 7, now it doesnt?

When i try check GPU on x264 it says no supported acceleration hardware detected. Yet, when i was on windows 8 it worked fine?
I'm using a 480 GTX. Any idea whats wrong? im using latest mediacoder and drivers. thanks
