MediaCoder and Virtu MVP 2.0

Post by cwhreuben » Sat Mar 09, 2013 4:21 pm

Hi, I used to use MediaCoder with my Windows 7 PC with Lucid Virtu and it worked fine.

However, after upgrading to Windows 8, the original Virtu is no longer compatible, so I downloaded the new Virtu MVP 2.0.

The problem is that MediaCoder does not seem to work with Virtu MVP 2.0. I get an Error (15) when transcoding, and when I double click on the file I want to encode, I get the error EKC3220.dll was not found.

I have already added MediaCoder and imsdkenc.exe into the whitelist and in i-mode but to no avail. If I connect directly to the HD graphics, QuickSync works fine.

I have tried reinstalling Windows 8 on another partition and can reproduce the error. Virtu MVP 2.0 works with MediaConverter and MediaEspresso however, leading me to pinpoint the problem at MediaCoder.

Here are my system specs:

Intel Core i5-2400 (HD 2000 graphics)
ASRock Z68 Extreme4
Sapphire Radeon 5850 Xtreme
